Walmley Foundation Scholarships - 2020

Searafima Taylor, Mr Captain, Samuel Tooth

In 2016 Walmley Golf Club set up the Walmley Foundation CIC, with the aim of making golf more accessible and beneficial to the local and extended community.

Since its inception, the foundation has worked with over 40 local organisations including primary and secondary schools, youth groups, the NHS, adult community groups and respite centres.

In 2018 the foundation added a new aim to their mission statement; “To help nurture and support young golfers of the future”. To help accomplish this the Walmley Foundation Scholarship was introduced.

This scholarship will be awarded annually to one boy and one girl who have demonstrated a great commitment to their golf over the previous year, and who represent the core values of golf; honesty, integrity, sportsmanship and respect.

The recipients of the scholarship will benefit from extra coaching support, sponsored competition entries, and equipment and apparel funding.

Walmley Foundation is very pleased to introduce the 2020 scholarship recipients, Serafima Taylor and Samuel Tooth, both 9 years old pictured with Walmley Golf Club Captain Tom Biggs-Hayes
