The first match of the season proved to be a very closely fought contest. Most of the matches went to the 18th hole but with victories from Bev Fiddes, Anne Wardle, Pauline Gibbon and Sandra Evans Walmley managed to secure a 4 -3 win.
An excellent start to the season. Well done to all the players.

On a very wet and windy day the team found the course very challenging and were unable to overcome a formidable Atherstone Team. Well done to Pat Young and Sandra Evans for securing Walmley's points.

Walmley v Kenilworth (h)
Walmley entertained last year's League Winners, Kenilworth, and after a closely fought match the result was a draw,
3 1/2 - 3 1/2 .
Well done to Sue Hart, Anne Deakin and Bev Fiddes for their wins and Sandra Evans for her half.
Special mention to Bev Fiddes to came back from 5 down to win on the 18th.
Walmley v Shirley (H)
On a baking hot day Walmley took on Shirley in the last home match of the season.
Credit to all players for coping with the conditions.
In a very closely fought match Walmley came through with a 4 – 3 win.
Well done to Mary Randon, Sue Hart and Pauline Gibbon for winning their matches and a special mention to Lyn Cotterill for winning her match on her debut.
Walmley v Coventry Hearsall (A)
In the last match of the League Season the Ladies narrowly missed out on a win, losing 4 -3. Well done to Bev Fiddes, Mary Randon for winning their matches and to Anne Wardle and Sharon Brown for securing their halves, the latter on debut.
The result means the season has ended with the team winning 2, losing 2 and drawing 1.
Thank you to all Ladies who took part for their support throughout the season and look forward to greater success next season.
